First Post!

Hello Everyone,

I had the opportunity to talk to Kurt Krieder from the Lord's House of Prayer last night. He showed me a slideshow and video of their trip to Haiti. The images and video footage he showed touched my heart.

He had many stories of their experience in Port-au-Prince, I wish I could share all of it with you but there is just too much to remember! They even had a few seconds of fame with reporter Anderson Cooper! The LHOP team went to Mercy and Sharing Orphanage in Williamson, Haiti the same day as CNN! You can watch the video at: http://www.cnn.com/video/?, the video is called "Haitians want orphans to stay". You can see a few people from the LHOP group walking with the orphans about 49 seconds into the clip.

I'd also like to share with you about our donation to LHOP. It turned out that the other team they went to Haiti with was able to purchase more than enough medical supplies to bring to Haiti, so LHOP used our donation to help a local family. Pastor Albeoi was killed in the recent earthquakes in Port-au-Prince. He left behind his wife and five children (pictured below) and many family and friends. Our donation will help his widow make rent payments and send their children to school for quite awhile. Please read more about our contributions in the below card/letter Kurt and the LHOP Haiti team wrote to us:

Ashley and PA Leadership Charter School,

"Thank you so much for your donation to Haiti! Your donation is helping a dear family get back on their feet after their husband/father was killed in the earthquake! Pastor Albeoi was the lead actor in the film "True Security" which was filmed earlier in Port-au-Prince, Haiti. This film and actor is touching thousands of lives in Haiti. Your donation will help his widow make rent payments and send their children to school for quite awhile. I will not only have a picture of this widow and some of her children but I also hope to get you a copy of his movie for you soon! May God bless your intentional generosity!"
